Faith & Finances: Visual Highlights from Two Workshops

Faith & Finances: Visual Highlights from Two Workshops

They came with open hearts and curious minds — ready to talk about money, meaning, and how the two connect. Together, participants shared insights, reflected deeply, and explored practical steps to take control of their financial journey.

This past Saturday, another installment of the Faith & Finances Workshop was hosted by ACE Global at the YWCA St. Augustine.

Participants arrived from across Trinidad and Tobago — Arima, Belmont, Chaguanas, Claxton Bay, Couva, D’Abadie, Maracas St. Joseph, Petite Valley, Port of Spain, San Juan, Sangre Grande, and St. Augustine — representing a beautiful mix of faiths, including different Christian denominations and Hindu participants.

We were also honored by the presence of Fr. Prince of the Anglican Church and his wife Donna, which added warmth and inspiration to the morning.

The workshop brought together professionals from diverse fields: teachers, nurses, managers, HR professionals, and business owners. Everyone engaged fully in interactive exercises, reflected deeply, and walked away with meaningful takeaways.

During the session, participants explored:
⚖ Why your money disappears & how to stop it
✦ Faith + strategy = clarity & confidence
◉ The hidden reasons most people struggle
❀ How your gifts shape your journey
▸ Lessons about money schools & universities don’t teach
✪ A 3-step process to unlock control & disposable income

Some reflections that stayed with me:

  • Keejah: “I am valuable no matter my circumstances…know your needs from your wants.”

  • Cindy Ann: “Disappointments don’t mean failure; I need to rebuild family ties.”

  • Marlene: “Practice gratitude more regularly; the money I make is a symbol of the value I create.”

  • Alisha: “Give myself some grace; I am not alone. How my skills and strengths can earn me consistently.”

This was the second Faith & Finances workshop — the first was specially designed for and held last month at Word of God Ministries in San Fernando. Members of Regenerative Life Ministries also attended.

This work is so important because schools and universities rarely teach practical money management, and globally, only about 33% of people are financially literate. Across faiths, timeless principles exist for handling money responsibly, yet many people are unhappy with their financial situations.

By request, we’ll be hosting a repeat online session on Saturday, 8 November 2025, from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM, offering a faith-centered approach to financial growth from wherever you are. Feel free to share this with anyone you know who might benefit. They can register here: tinyurl.com/faith-and-finances-now

For those who requested a follow-up call, we will reach out before the end of the week to see how best we can support you.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who joined, to ACE Global for making it possible, and for the reminder that just a few hours of focused learning can spark meaningful conversations — even among strangers.

📸 Photos from both workshops capture the energy, joy, and connection shared during these transformative mornings.
